1 Day Make A Shoe Course
high-heeled shoe made by EquipageParticipants on our One Day Course get to make a simple all leather, cement lasted ‘slipper’ type shoe. The course is run by Shoeniversity‘s international footwear expert and tutor Julian Berwick who has trained with some of the most well known shoe designers working today.

Julian Berwick of Shoeniversity has worked with designer and high street brands designing and overseeing the manufacture of shoes, boots, specialist sports footwear and children’s shoes in the U.K., Taiwan, India and North Africa. He has worked at Universities and Art Colleges in the U.K., Ireland and India, teaching footwear and accessory design education to post graduate level. Julian has also taught footwear design and manufacture for the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation.

Your feet are measured and a pair of lasts are allocated for the the size of shoe you will make. You will then be able to choose from a range of beautiful leather or suede with which to make your shoes. Each stage of the shoemaking process is clearly explained and course notes are supplied as you make your own shoes.
